Our mission
A German course in हिन्दी. A French course in தமிழ். A Japanese course in తెలుగు. That is the world we are building — and we won’t stop until it exists everywhere in India.
The problem
Global opportunity — jobs abroad, higher study, remote work, migration — increasingly runs through a foreign language. But the map to those languages is drawn almost entirely in English.
For 500 million-plus Indians who don’t think in English, that map is unreadable. Before they can learn German, they must first be fluent enough in English to be taught it. Two languages to climb, not one.
So the ambitious learner in a Tier-3 town, comfortable in Marathi or Telugu but not English, is quietly locked out — not by ability, but by the medium of instruction.
Our mission
“No Indian should have to master English first just to learn the language they actually want. We remove the middle step — permanently.”
Every other app teaches German or Spanish through English. If English is not the language you think in, you are learning two languages at once. Lingva teaches directly in your mother tongue — so meaning, grammar and nuance land the first time.
What we’re building
Not English → target. Your language → target. Directly.
Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi and more — as the language of instruction, not an afterthought.
German, French, Spanish, Japanese and beyond — the languages that open borders and careers.
Grammatical gender, formality registers and native scripts — taught explicitly, because in Indian languages they already matter.
A low-data PWA priced for Bharat, so a patchy signal or a tight budget is never the barrier.
A structured A1–C2 path with graded assessment — a serious curriculum, not a game of streaks.
Built by people who grew up between languages, for the hundreds of millions who still live there.
The long view
We start with the biggest source languages and the most in-demand target languages. But the destination is total coverage: any Indian, opening the app in the language they dream in, learning any language they choose.
When that is true, the mother tongue stops being a ceiling and becomes what it always should have been — the fastest bridge to the rest of the world.
Join learners across India mastering new languages the natural way.
